Advancing Health Care Delivery Through Purposeful AI Innovation—integrated AI-driven solutions to reduce workforce shortages and clinical burnout and improve care coordination.

  Penn Highlands DuBois, Small/Medium Division

Journey to Pathway to Excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in a Rural Setting—invested in nurses' professional growth and implemented shared decision-making to reduce vacancy rates and improve quality outcomes in a rural community.

Optimal Operations Award

  Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Large Division

Weekend Infusion Services for Oncology Patients Save Inpatient Days and Avoid Emergency Department Visits—expanded weekend oncology infusion services to reduce inpatient stays, emergency department visits, and “time toxicity” for cancer patients.

  WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Small/Medium Division

Optimizing Hospital Throughput: A Multidisciplinary Approach and Cultural Transformation for Improved Patient Flow and Outcomes—optimized hospital throughput by expediting appropriate discharges and facilitating more efficient patient transitions.

Excellence in Care Award

  Main Line Health, Large Division

Improving Outcomes for Families Affected by Opioid Use—initiated a family-centered approach to prenatal opioid exposure and neonatal withdrawal treatment to mitigate health disparities and improve patient outcomes.

  UPMC, Large Division

Enhancing Standardized Protocols for Early Onset Sepsis in Well Appearing Neonates Across Fifteen Birth Centers—spearheaded a multi-site initiative to increase adherence to evidence-based sepsis guidelines, resulting in improved neonatal care and reduced maternal-infant separation.

  UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital, Small/Medium Division

Increasing Access to Perinatal Mental Health Through a Multi-Faceted, Multidisciplinary Approach—expanded access to perinatal mental health services for vulnerable populations by resolving systems gaps and leveraging technology.

Community Champions Award

  Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Large Division

A Hospital-Based Food Insecurity Program that Leverages Community Partnerships, Technology, and Multidisciplinary Students Can Improve—implemented a nurse-led food security program that leverages community partnerships, technology, and student engagement to improve the health of their community.

  Phoenixville Hospital, Small/Medium Division

Using In-Person Bilingual/Multilingual Patient Representatives for Language Barriers—addressed health disparities through expanded interpretation and navigation services for Spanish and Portuguese-speaking patients.

  St. Luke’s University Health Network, Large Division

Realtime Vital Signs and Epic’s Deterioration Index Reduces In-Hospital Cardiac Arrests—leveraged predictive analysis to measurably improve patient outcomes by proactively identifying at-risk patients.

  Canonsburg Hospital, Small/Medium Division

A Multidisciplinary Quality Improvement Intervention to Reduce Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injuries—lead a quality initiative focused on documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration to significantly reduce hospital-acquired pressure injuries.
