Background:  Hospitals are the cornerstones of healthy communities across the commonwealth and are impacted by decisions at all levels of government. Every other year, local offices from school board to municipal commissioners are elected, which require part-time commitments, allowing candidates with varied professional background and experience to bring their perspective to local government.

These are opportunities to not only impact local policies but drive conversations supporting local health care and improving access to care. We need candidates and elected officials who understand the provider landscape and can work to implement stronger policies.

Running for local office is easier than many think and HAP will be a partner to support and help elect more hospital champions at every level of government. Please forward the webinar details along to team members who may be interested in running for a local office.

December’s Candidate Training Webinar will inform:

  • What offices are up for election.
  • How to become a candidate.
  • Running an effective campaign.
  • Developing your health care message.
  • Connecting to voters.
