HAP Statement on Attack and Shooting at UPMC Memorial

Harrisburg, PA (February 23, 2025)—HAP President and CEO Nicole Stallings released the following statement about the attack and fatal shooting this weekend at UPMC Memorial:

“Hospitals are places of healing and hope. They should not be scenes of senseless violence. We are mourning the loss of life in the tragic shooting this weekend at UPMC Memorial, and our hearts are with everyone affected by this horrific attack.

“Violence targeting our hospital teams is never acceptable. We must all work together to protect the dedicated professionals who care for our communities.”
