Make your voice heard during 2024 election
October 28, 2024
If you need to vote by mail, time is running out to request a ballot.
Pennsylvania is the epicenter of closely contested presidential and congressional elections and there’s plenty on the line at the state level, as well. Those interested in voting by mail should submit an application online or in-person today to ensure enough time to receive a ballot, complete it, and return it to the county elections office by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Al Schmidt, state secretary, said in a statement.
Here’s what you need to know:
- What’s at stake: In addition to the presidential election, Pennsylvania voters will elect several statewide and legislative officials.
- Half of the state senate and all 203 state representative offices are up for election.
- Pennsylvania has a closely watched U.S. Senate race and all 17 U.S. House seats are up for election.
- Voters will elect three statewide row officers: attorney general, auditor general, and treasurer.
- Need a mail-in? Any voter may apply for a mail-in ballot by no later than Tuesday, October 29.
- More than 1,786,799 Pennsylvanians have applied for a mail ballot, which includes no-excuse mail-in and absentee ballots.
- Make it count: Completed mail-in ballots can be returned via the mail, at a county drop box, or your county’s election office. Completed ballots must be received by your election office by 8 p.m. on election night.
- General voting details: You can find additional information about voting in Pennsylvania online.
