The Joint Commission: Navigating the Infection Control Standards

• Discuss the application of the new infection control standards and elements of performance and infection control worksheet
• Review frequently scored and high-risk infection control observations
• Examine common challenges in infection control identified during survey
• Discuss survey processes, issue resolution, and evidence of standards compliance

Survey Expectations in Radiology

•  Review frequently scored and high-risk infection control observations
• Examine common challenges in infection control identified during survey
• Explain application of the infection control standards in the outpatient setting
• Review other Joint Commission Standards that support effective implementation of infection control interventions

Understanding Wound Centers and Hyperbaric Chambers

• Understand wound care and the use of hyperbaric chambers
• Describe the risks associated with hyperbaric chambers
• Gain knowledge of the construction and safe operation of hyperbaric chambers

Maintaining Continuous survey Readiness: Including Experiences from the Field

• Verbalize common survey themes
• Explain strategies for a successful survey
• Describe one tactic to help maintain a constant state of Readiness.  
• Discuss commonly cited Joint Commission Standards

Continuing Education Credits

This program on April 17 and 18, 2025, will award 10.0 continuing education contact hours for the following: ACCME, ANCC, & ACHE.

Full attendance at every session and completion of a post-engagement survey are prerequisites for receiving continuing education credits.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Joint Commission Resources. Joint Commission Resources is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

By attending the 2025 Pennsylvania CSR Workshop offered by Joint Commission Resources, participants may earn up to 10.0 ACHE Qualifying Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.

Registration Information

This conference is available to CSR members only.

Registration Fee: $175

Registrants are responsible for the full fee if cancellation is received after Thursday, April 10.  There is a $50 administrative fee on all cancellations. Cancellations must be in writing. No-shows will be billed. Substitutions are permissible.
