Overview
Background
The statewide QCA program began in 2011 and has proven to be a critical part of hospital reimbursement in Pennsylvania. Most recently, the QCA program was reauthorized on July 1, 2023, for five years.
HAP worked closely with the Committee on Public Payor Policy and HAP’s Board of Directors to address key issues with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and was successful in securing a significant increase in the amount of funding available for hospital payments. Since the program began, the hospital community has received an average annual net benefit of approximately $733 million.
This general education session is designed to review the history of this program as well as recent changes, and to provide an opportunity for members to ask questions. It is open to all HAP members, so feel free to share this invitation with your teams.
