Workplace violence is a major concern for hospital leaders and staff nationwide and continues to be a top priority for HAP’s advocacy agenda. Health care providers—especially front-line staff—are increasingly faced with violent encounters by patients and visitors. HAP is hosting a complimentary virtual workshop on December 19 to help leaders, front-line managers, and security teams understand, prevent, and respond to threats and violence in the workplace. During this workshop, expert faculty will provide resources to help members gain a better understanding of tangible next steps for improving safety strategies in their own facilities.
