The Pennsylvania Continuous Service Readiness Program (CSRP) is a joint effort between Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) to structure and implement a program by which hospitals can receive education, consultation, and feedback on an ongoing basis from JCR and The Joint Commission (TJC) staff.

This meeting is limited to participants from CSR hospitals. Not a member? If you are interested in participating in the CSR Program, please contact Daneen Schroder.

  2. Review 2024 CAMH Chapters and standards applicability in clinic and outpatient settings
  3. Describe unique challenges that face practice and clinic settings in adhering to CAMH standards 
  4. Identify strategies and leading practices for compliance

Environment of Care/ Life Safety & Emergency Management Update

  1. Understand what The Joint Commission is focusing on during survey
  2. Understand the requirements for workplace violence prevention
  3. Understand the importance of the Pre-Construction Risk Assessment
  4. Understand how to approach establishing an effective program
  5. Understand when an ILSM is required
  6. Understand the difference between levels of RPTs
  7. Understand how The Joint Commission approaches enforcement
  8. Understand key changes to the Emergency Management Chapter

Disease Specific Certification (DSC) New and Updated Standards and Elements of Performance

  1. Review the building blocks of disease-specific certification
  2. Identify the 2024 changes in all 4 Advanced Stroke Programs
  3. Review changes to the review process guide (RPG)
  4. Discuss the most frequently cited stroke certification requirements for 2023

Continuing Education Credits

This program on October 17 and 18 will award 9.0 continuing education contact hours for the following: ACHE & ANCC.

Full attendance at every session and completion of a post-engagement survey are prerequisites for receiving continuing education credits.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Joint Commission Resources.  Joint Commission Resources is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

By attending the 2024 Pennsylvania CSR Workshops - Project offered by Joint Commission Resources, participants may earn 9.0 ACHE & ANCC Qualifying Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.
