Panelists

  • Jamie Becker, PhD, Director of Psychiatry, Children’s Health Dallas
    • Dr. Jamie Becker is a board-certified child and adolescent psychologist who is currently Director of Psychiatry at Children’s Health in Dallas. She is responsible for the oversight of mental health care delivery and programming on the inpatient medical floors and emergency department at Children’s Health Dallas including the expanding play therapy team. Dr. Becker is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern and serves as the Associate Training Director for the Child Health Psychology Program at Children’s Health. Dr. Becker completed her graduate training at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois, followed by internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and postdoctoral fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Paul Rains, RN, MSW, System SVP, Behavioral Health, CommonSpirit Health
    • Paul has worked in the field of mental health and substance abuse treatment since 1989. He holds a BS and MS in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and Certificate of Achievement from the University of Southern California Institute for Mental Health Leadership. Paul’s experience spans numerous care and treatment settings including residential substance use disorder, acute inpatient, long-term adolescent, correctional, and outpatient. Paul serves on the Centers for Behavioral Health Advisory Board, the Behavioral Health Action Coalition and numerous other workgroups and committees that address a wide variety of mental health issues.  

Moderator

  • Shana Palmieri, LCSW, Chief Clinical Officer & Co-Founder, XFERALL
    • In her role, she is responsible for the strategic business operations and clinical innovation of the company. Before joining the team to launch XFERALL, Shana served as the Director of Community Services at Kalihi Palama Health Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Prior to this position, she worked at The George Washington University Hospital as the director of the Behavioral Health Division which she developed.
      Shana entered into the start-up world after more than 17 years of experience in healthcare and social services including direct clinical practice and healthcare administration. Her clinical and administrative experience includes working within various health care settings including for-profit and nonprofit healthcare systems, local and state government programs, and nonprofit social services agencies.
