Overview

The Pennsylvania Continuous Service Readiness Program (CSRP) is a joint effort between Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) to structure and implement programs by which hospitals can receive education, consultation, and feedback on an ongoing basis from JCR and The Joint Commission (TJC) staff.

  • Discuss the impact of changes in CMS deemed status on TJC survey process
  • Describe discrepancies found from CMS Validation surveys
  • Discuss new and revised TJC standard updates that are effective in January 2022

Behavioral Health Update

  • Discuss how to manage behavioral health patient holds in the Emergency room
  • Describe why an evidence-base risk assessment needs to be completed
  • Explain the importance of implementing interventions for the high risk suicidal patient
  • Discuss new and revised TJC standards for workplace violence prevention

Medical Staff Update

  • Describe the basic elements of the medical staff bylaws
  • Discuss emerging telemedicine changes and challenges
  • Describe the differences between FPPE and OPPE
  • Explain what data needs to be collected for OPPE

  • Describe the most challenging issues post COVID-19
  • Review the challenges of recovery from COVID-19
  • Discuss how to manage the new life safety standards for ambulatory centers that are surveyed under the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual of Hospitals

This conference is approved for 8 CE hours.

  • The continuing education credit for this conference will be provided via certificate from within SkyPrep once the conference attestation and evaluation survey have been completed.
  • The attestation and evaluation survey will be available on SkyPrep until Monday, November 29th at 5:00pm CT. If these items have not been completed prior to removal, you will not receive CE hours for this conference.
