How You Can Help

HAP is pleased to work with state officials and state and other agencies to support Pennsylvania's hospitals during this challenging time. Below is information about how you can help support the health care community.

Download the COVID Alert PA App

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is encouraging all Pennsylvanians to download and use the COVID Alert PA app to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please be part of this statewide effort to reduce cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania.

The app has a daily check-in feature which you can use to list any COVID-19 or other symptoms of illness. It also provides easy access to information about what to you if you suspect you may have COVID-19. You can opt-in for alerts that let you know if you've been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, allowing you to follow up and avoid the risk of spreading the virus to your loved ones.

More information about COVID Alert PA is available at the Department of Health's website. To download the app, visit the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android). The app runs on iPhones that support iOS 13.5 and higher, and Android phones running Android 6.0 and higher.

Keep yourself, your family, and your friends safer by downloading and using the COVID Alert PA app.

The American Red Cross website provides more information about keeping you safe while you donate, and blood drives in your area. Online financial donations also can be made at the site.

Financial Donations and Volunteers Needed at Local Food Banks

Due to closed schools and record-breaking unemployment, the state’s food banks are struggling to support three times as many families as they did this time last year. For safety reasons, your local food bank may only accept food donations through virtual food drives. In addition, online financial donations are critical toward helping these organizations continue to support your community.
