Overview

The Pennsylvania Continuous Service Readiness Program (CSRP) is a joint effort between Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) to structure and implement programs by which hospitals can receive education, consultation, and feedback on an ongoing basis from JCR and The Joint Commission (TJC) staff.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Verbalize problematic standards and how to overcome barriers to compliance
  2. Describe environment of care, life safety, and emergency management hot topics for 2022
  3. Discuss the fundamentals of the Joint Commission’s Accreditation Manual for Hospitals (AMH) and CMS standards applicable to the medical staff
  4. Articulate the process for managing a suicidal patient in a non-behavioral outpatient treatment setting
  5. Verbalize ACT 61 as it relates to informed consent in Pennsylvania

Continuing Education Credits

This conference has been approved for 10.5 contact hours.

The Joint Commission is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME-AMA PRA Category 1™), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Joint Commission is authorized to award the listed hours of pre-approved ACHE Qualified Education credit for this program toward advancement, or recertification, in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program who wish to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit must self-report their participation. To self-report, participants should log into their MyACHE account and select ACHE Qualified Education Credit.

The Joint Commission Enterprise has been accredited as an Accredited Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

Full attendance is a prerequisite for receiving full continuing education credits.
