Across the commonwealth, hospitals and health systems are taking steps to transform their organizations and eliminate health disparities. Currently, individual hospitals and health systems are making meaningful progress in collecting accurate patient demographic data, identifying disparities, investigating underlying drivers, and reimagining practices to ensure equitable patient outcomes. All too often, hospital equity efforts are localized and fragmented. The goal of this luncheon is to help those who are leading equity efforts in hospitals statewide to connect with each other. HAP will facilitate opening questions to encourage meaningful conversation with peers in effort to foster connection and accelerate your efforts. There is no fee to attend but registration is required.

The Council for Behavioral Healthcare Providers is a discussion forum that reviews and provides recommendations to HAP on issues relating to psychiatric and behavioral health care.

The HAP Compliance Officer Committee is composed of professionals working in compliance, regulatory affairs and oversight, accreditation, and patient safety at member hospitals across the state. The committee convenes quarterly to discuss federal and state legislative and regulatory issues, survey-related trends, and emerging issues. HAP encourages broad participation, but registration for this meeting is required.

Like most hospitals post-COVID, Pennsylvania hospitals have faced a difficult year marked by soaring labor costs and supply inflation. Hospitals and health care providers are looking for new ways to increase revenue. Millions of dollars in rebates are being overlooked annually. Pharmaceutical companies offer rebates to facilities that administer their drugs. These rebates are outside of a typical GPO agreement that are not commonly pursued by most providers. To collect these rebates with maximum reimbursement, hospitals and providers need eligibility analysis experts, advanced technology, and formatting algorithms. We will explain the rebate process, data elements needed, and qualifications to obtain these rebates for your facility.

The Pennsylvania Continuous Service Readiness Program (CSRP) is a joint effort between Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) to structure and implement a program by which hospitals can receive education, consultation, and feedback on an ongoing basis from JCR and The Joint Commission (TJC) staff. This meeting is limited to participants from CSR hospitals.
