News Release: HAP Names Samuel BowerCraft as New Vice President, Operations

Samuel BowerCraft, HAP vice president, operationsThe Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) is pleased to announce that, effective February 18, Samuel BowerCraft has been appointed vice president, operations.

In this newly created role for the association, BowerCraft will oversee and direct HAP’s day-to-day operations. He will serve as an integral member of the senior management team, providing direction and support to the human resources, information technology, and administrative teams.

“I am pleased to welcome Sam as the head of HAP’s operational improvement efforts. His ability to effectively manage projects, lead teams, and streamline operations will help the association continue to maximize its services and value to our members,” said Tina Latin-True, HAP’s senior vice president, business development and operations.

BowerCraft brings to HAP more than two decades of management and operations experience. He specializes in leading and overseeing projects related to assessing and improving processes, standardizing business environments, and improving operational efficiency. BowerCraft most recently served as a senior manager at McKonly & Asbury, LLP, where he led and oversaw management consulting work related to enterprise risk, information systems, and security risk assessments, as well as implementing process improvements and standardization to business environments. He also performed attestation work under Sarbanes-Oxley, the Federal Information Security Management Act, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and other security framework guidelines.

Prior to his tenure at McKonly & Asbury, LLP, BowerCraft served as a technical project manager at D&E Communications, Inc.

BowerCraft earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in information sciences from the Penn State University School of Business Administration.

BowerCraft is an active member of his local chapter of Rotary International and Leadership Harrisburg. He resides in the Harrisburg area with his family.
