News Release: HAPevolve Hires President and Client Services Manager

Joe Tibbs has been hired as the president of HAPevolve, a for-profit subsidiary company of The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP).

Tibbs will lead HAP’s new business consulting and custom education initiative, including overseeing the HAPevolve team and working with the board of directors to guide the strategic direction for HAPevolve.

Tibbs brings experience from a life-long career in health care consulting and strategic solutions. He is passionate about helping health care organizations successfully transition to the next level of care during a time of significant change. Prior to joining HAPevolve, Tibbs served as vice president of solutions operations for Intalere (formerly Amerinet), a professional supply chain company offering a comprehensive array of services to assist health care providers better manage their non-labor spend and deliver high-level care. 

Tibbs received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Utah, and his MBA in strategy and management from Western Governors University. He also is a Certified Materials Resource Specialist, AHRMM.

“Joe has exceptional experience in customer relations, solution development, and strategic planning, all critical strengths for leading HAPevolve,” said Tina Latin-True, HAP’s senior vice president, business development and operations.

“He has developed relationships with health care organizations across the country and understands the impact of market trends, regulations, and legislation on this industry. He is forward-thinking and committed to ensuring HAPevolve can successfully meet the needs of today’s heath care community.”

Joe will reside in Harrisburg with his wife and two children.

HAP also hired Mary Akyol as HAPevolve’s manager, client services. Mary recently completed a fellowship with University of Florida Health-Shands Hospital, where she led a team to assist the supply chain department in transitioning to mobile inventory. She previously was an administrative intern with HAP, and worked on the product development process for HAPevolve. Mary earned her Master of Health Administration from the University of Florida. She will reside in Harrisburg.
