National Doctors Day is a Day to Thank Pennsylvania Physicians
March 30, 2018
Thank you to Pennsylvania’s nearly 48,000 physicians, many of whom are working to improve the health of patients and communities in hospitals and health systems across the state.
HAP recognizes that the roles of hospital and health system physician leaders are evolving as a result of delivery system, payment, and health insurance reforms and continues to provide education and information on issues such as clinical integration, value-based purchasing, care improvement and coordination, and population health management.
On April 10, HAP is co-hosting a webinar for physicians and other clinical care leaders to reduce burnout and building resilience. HAP also is offering additional education programs, including ones focusing on medical marijuana and the opioid crisis, that may be of interest to physicians.
HAP also continues to support important efforts that would help to ensure Pennsylvanians have access to high-quality care, including legislative efforts that support the expansion and reimbursement for telehealth services.
For information about HAP’s efforts to support physician leaders in Pennsylvania hospitals and health systems, please contact Michael Consuelos, MD, HAP’s senior vice president, clinical integration.
