HAP Celebrates Healthcare Quality Week
October 16, 2017
Healthcare Quality Week, sponsored by the National Association for Healthcare Quality, is celebrated October 15–21, 2017. This event recognizes clinical and non-clinical quality professionals who contribute to excellence in health care quality.
Raising awareness for high quality, patient-centric care has been at the center of HAP’s Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) quality initiative, which supports hospitals as they work to eliminate 11 hospital-acquired conditions. HIIN hospitals have access to evidence-based best practices, shared education, peer-to-peer networking, and one-to-one coaching designed to assist them in delivering high quality, patient-centric health care. Physician champions, expert-faculty advisors, and a person and family engagement advisory council deliver the provider, patient, and family voice to help drive results and address changing opportunities for improvement.
New to HIIN is the Ex-SEPSIS—"Exiting with Excellent Care!” initiative, which assists hospitals in reducing sepsis readmissions.
