News Release: HAP Announces Official Launch of HAPevolve

September 15, 2017

Pennsylvania’s hospitals are constantly looking to the future of health care, as they strive to deliver high-quality care at competitive prices, adapt to ever-changing markets, and leverage technology to transform their business operations. Now, more than ever, hospital executives and health care providers need customized, cutting-edge options to help them rise to meet their most pressing challenges.

In response to these developments within the Pennsylvania hospital community, The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) has launched HAPevolve, a new for-profit subsidiary company offering on-demand solutions for business, clinical, and government compliance matters facing health care providers.

Designed during an 18-month strategic planning process, HAPevolve offers consulting and custom education specific to the challenges of understanding and implementing health care legislation and regulation. Leveraging HAP’s unparalleled expertise and strategic business partners, the HAPevolve menu of services includes on-demand solutions to alleviate legal, regulatory, fiscal, and operational obstacles within hospitals and health care organizations.

HAP has provided innovative, specially priced solutions for member hospitals through its Endorsed Partner program since 2007. Thirty percent of HAP member hospitals currently participate with one or more endorsed partners. These partners—which include Alliant Employee Benefits, Commerce Bank, SUNRx, Truven Health Analytics, VisiQuate, and Vizient—will join the HAPevolve portfolio. HAPevolve’s endorsed partners help facilitate toolkits, education, training, and support from subject matter experts, including consulting for Community Health Needs Assessment mid-cycle reviews, a continuous service readiness program, a gainsharing program, and emergency preparedness services. Additional programs and services are in development.

“HAPevolve represents the commitment of HAP’s Board of Directors to sustain our traditional services to member hospitals and health care organizations well into the future, and to develop business products that keep pace with the rapidly changing health care landscape,” said Andy Carter, HAP president and CEO.

“HAPevolve will provide relevant services across the care continuum. It takes time to research and identify a trusted partner to help address problems and we offer the dependability, high-touch client focus the environment needs right now.”

A new compliment of staff has been established and a new board of directors for the company will begin corporate oversight on January 1, 2018.
