The Institute for Diversity and Health Equity and The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) are hosting this important webinar. Our distinguished faculty will share strategies that help hospitals and health systems to effectively achieve the goals of the #123forEquity pledge.
Program Overview
The case for diversity is stronger than ever: demographic shifts and health reform are among the many issues pushing health care toward inevitable and dramatic transformation. If leadership and technological strategies can be developed to improve access and enhance quality for members of all population groups, the ongoing transformation of health care could reduce racial and ethnic health disparities while improving health care for all.
Broadening the concepts of diversity and inclusion and attaching these to excellence in community health and patient care will require that we build on and enhance our prior work in this arena.
The session will focus on execution strategies for the component of the pledge related to leadership and governance diversity, from leaders who have worked with their organizations to make significant progress. Health care leaders will be able to implement these solid strategies at their hospitals and health systems to increase diversity and inclusion and advance efforts in achieving health equity for all.
