Continuous Service Readiness Program Fall Update 2017

The Pennsylvania Continuous Service Readiness Program (CSRP) is a joint effort between Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) to structure and implement a program by which hospitals can receive education, consultation, and feedback on an ongoing basis from JCR and The Joint Commission (TJC) staff.

Program Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify three new and/or challenging TJC and/or CMS issues.
  2. Describe three legislative and/or regulatory issues impacting healthcare in Pennsylvania.
  3. Discuss two strategies to implement to reduce potential for patient ligature.
  4. Apply two infection prevention strategies to reduce the possibility of hospital acquired infections.
  5. Identify two strategies to prevent wrong site surgery.

Pricing and Registration

The registration fee for Pennsylvania CSR hospitals is $220 per person for both days. The registration fee for non-Pennsylvania CSR hospitals is $420 per person for both days. This fee will be charged whether you elect to attend one day or both days. Registrations should be received by HAP no later than Thursday, October 19.

The registration fee covers instructional materials, program room fees, coffee breaks, and lunches. The monthly CSRP subscription fee paid by participating organizations to JCR partially offsets the cost of this conference.

Cancellation Policy

Registrants are responsible for the full fee if cancellation is received after Friday, October 20. There is a $50 administrative fee on all cancellations. Cancellations must be in writing. No-shows will be billed. Substitutions are permissible.


Overnight Accommodations

A limited block of rooms has been reserved at The Inn of Reading for the nights of October 25 and 26. In order to guarantee yourself a room at the hotel, you must make reservations no later than midnight on Monday, October 2. After this time, reservations will be accepted on a space available, rate available basis, and you may not be guaranteed the group room rate of $99 per room, per night (single or double occupancy), plus fees and taxes.

Continuing Education Credits

The CE application has been made for 11 credit hours to:

  • Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation
  • American College of Healthcare Executives
  • Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education
  • Certified Joint Commission Professional

Full attendance at every session is a prerequisite for receiving full continuing education credits. If a participant needs to leave early, his or her continuing education credits will be reduced.
