The CMS Restraint and Seclusion Webinar: Navigating the Most Problematic of all of the CMS Hospital Standards and Proposed Changes

December 12, 2017 - 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Restraint and seclusion is a “hot spot” with both CMS and the Joint Commission, and a common area where hospitals are cited for being out of compliance. The restraint policy is one of the hardest to write and understand in health care today. This session will help simplify the CMS 50-page interpretive guidelines. It will also provide a crosswalk to the Joint Commission standards.

Webinar Series: Medical Marijuana Comes to Pennsylvania in Early 2018: Implications for Pennsylvania Hospitals, Patients and Employees

December 13, 2017 - Other dates to be determined.

The Department of Health has issued a target date of early 2018 for Pennsylvania grown medical cannabis to process into medical marijuana for distribution through Pennsylvania dispensaries to certified and registered patients. HAP is hosting a series of webinars to provide an overview of the new law, discuss its impact on hospital operations, and address the various legal issues it raises for members both as providers and employers.
